While a test is very informative, it is merely one part element of a comprehensive inspection.

When it comes to understanding potential fungal growth, it is important to gather as much information as possible about the overall environment -- the extent of the contaminated environment, how the environment caused the fungal growth, and how the environment is continuing to support the fungal growth. A mold test is a single snapshot of the indoor fungal ecology in one particular moment. That is why context is so important– and that is what a full inspection provides. Mold testing means very little without the support of a full inspection.
Before collecting air samples and surface samples, a DryMax mold inspector will conduct a full visual assessment, moisture mapping and an infrared moisture inspection to understand the environment and conditions in the environment that could be encouraging and sustaining continuous mold growth. Our inspector will use this information to develop an adequate sampling plan.
